Matt had his awards day today and got voted player of the year from both his managers, plus he made a match winning save in the school cup final at Weston Homes in a 1-0 victory. Mostly down to all the hard work you guys at the academy put in.

An amazing day for jake Vincent and his team yesterday, winning their tournament! Jake had a great day not letting in one goal all day!

Oliver Licence


Oliver Licence team has had a great season just been promoted to the A league, again Oliver played with such commitment and was so confident within his keepers roll, well done Oliver! keep up the good work through out the summer ready for you new challenge in the A League next season.

Keeper Achievements


These keepers have played and are playing for the Colchester youth league for the last three years.

    *        Alex Horne U13 (Stanway Villa) has signed a two year contract with Colchester Utd .

    *        Jamie Simpson U14 (Wivenhoe Town) has QPR trials this week November 2014 .

    *        Aaron Smyth (FC Clacton U16) had trials with  Chelsea development squad.

    *        William Healy U11 (Stanway Rovers) is having regular training sessions with Colchester Utd elite development centre.

    *        Luke Tynan U17s has had trials with Essex , (Kevin Horlock ex West Ham and Manchester City )made reference to Luke’s amazing saves on Twitter.

    *        Taylor Hughes U10s(Lexden Saints) had trials for Colchester Utd in October.

    *        Asher Taylor U15 trials for Colchester Utd development centre and still training regular!

We also must mention that Luke Tynan has trials for Essex under 18's this week , he also is mentioned in a tweet by legend Kevin Horlock of some of his amazing saves!
Well done Luke!! Your working so hard at your game. Good luck for this week from everyone at the academy .

UPDATE: Luke has now played his second game for the county, this time in Kent.

Freddie Baynham


Keeper training last night at Garrison B . Freddie Baynham always puts in 100% at training in all weathers!! A bit of mud never hurt anyone!! LP is always impressed by keepers that are never put off by the bad weather!!
Again playing this morning... Dedication is the word!! Well done

Alex Horne, who has trained for 2 years at the Academy, has seen his hard work pay off signing a 2 year contract at Colchester United.
